INDICATOR: CHILDREN IN THE FAMILY INDEPENDENCE PROGRAM

DEFINITION : Children Enrolled in the Family Independence Program is the percentage of children under age 18 who were living in families receiving cash assistance through the Family Independence Program (FIP) on December 1, 2007. These data measure the number of children and families enrolled in FIP at one point in time. Children and families who participated in the program at other points in the year but were not enrolled on December 1, 2007 are not include.
