The Campaign for Youth Justice is a national campaign dedicated to ending the practice of trying, sentencing and incarcerating children under the age of 18 in the adult criminal justice system by empowering those moved to act for youth justice.



Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI)

For fifteen years JDAI, a project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, has demonstrated that jurisdictions can safely reduce reliance on secure detention and generally strengthen their juvenile justice systems through a series of inter-related reform strategies. JDAI Help Desk is a practice-based, informational resource for advocates, practitioners, policymakers, and others interested in improving the detention component of their delinquency system. JDAI (and other) sites in the course of their detention reform endeavors to achieve fairer, more effective, and more efficient juvenile justice systems.



Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP)

OJJDP collaborates with professionals from diverse disciplines to improve juvenile justice policies and practices. OJJDP, a component of the Office of Justice Programs at the U.S. Department of Justice, accomplishes its mission by supporting states, local communities, and tribal jurisdictions in their efforts to develop and implement effective programs for juveniles. The Office strives to strengthen the juvenile justice system's efforts to protect public safety, hold offenders accountable, and provide services that address the needs of youth and their families. OJJDP sponsors research, program, and training initiatives; develops priorities and goals and sets policies to guide federal juvenile justice issues; disseminates information about juvenile justice issues; and awards funds to states to support local programming.



Rhode Island Justice Commission

The Rhode Island Justice Commission (RIJC), formerly the Governor's Justice Commission, is the agency within the Executive Department of the State of Rhode Island governmental structure charged with planning, coordination, data collection, statistical analysis and grant administration and distribution for the adult and juvenile criminal justice systems. Through these efforts the RIJC develops comprehensive programming for the purpose of improving the state's overall response to crime issues.
