The 2013 Rhode Island Kids Count Factbook, released on April 8, 2013 at Rhode Island KIDS COUNT's Annual Breakfast at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Crossings, reports on 68 indicators of child well-being across five subjects: Family and Community, Economic Well-Being, Health, Safety, and Education. The Factbook provides a statistical portrait of the status of Rhode Island's children. Information is presented for the state of Rhode Island, each city and town and an aggregate of the four cities, entitled "core cities," in which more than 25% of the children live in poverty. The four core cities are Central Falls, Pawtucket, Providence and Woonsocket.
