The 2011 Rhode Island Kids Count Factbook, released on April 4, 2011 at Rhode Island KIDS COUNT's Annual Breakfast at the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the Crossings, reports on 67 indicators of child well-being across five subjects: Family and Community, Economic Well-Being, Health, Safety, and Education. The Factbook provides a statistical portrait of the status of Rhode Island's children. Information is presented for the state of Rhode Island, each city and town and an aggregate of the six cities, entitled "core cities," in which more than 15% of the children live in poverty. The six core cities are Central Falls, Newport, Pawtucket, Providence, West Warwick and Woonsocket.
