Rhode Island KIDS COUNT supports the "One Rhode Island" platform
"One Rhode Island" is a statewide coalition of 160 advocacy, religious, labor and social service organizations that advocates for public policies, resources and programs that help Rhode Islanders meet their basic needs. Rhode Island KIDS COUNT continues to serve on the steering committee, facilitated by the Poverty Institute, that develops the Platform and works with coalition members for its enactment.

Each year the One RI Steering Committee develops a legislative platform that proposes modest expansions or improvements in work support programs that would improve the economic vitality of our residents and our state. The platform includes proposals in the areas of income security, food, child care, health care, housing, and education and training.
