DEFINITION: Suspensions is the rate of infractions and disciplinary actions per 100 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade in Rhode Island public schools. Students can receiver more than one disciplinary action during the school year. Disciplinary actions include in-school suspensions, out-of-school suspensions, and alternate program placements.
