Project Description
Covering Kids & Families Rhode Island is a four-year health insurance access initiative funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funds similar initiatives in more than 40 states, with technical assistance provided to grantees by the Southern Institute on Children and Families. The goals of Covering Kids & Families Rhode Island are to enroll and retain all eligible children and parents in RIte Care, simplify enrollment and renewal processes and coordianted existing health coverage programs. Covering Kids & Families local projects are Providence, Pawtucket and Central Falls. Each of these communities develops and implements specific health insurance outreach strategies under the leadership of the local Covering Kids & Families Coordinator and the Statewide Project Director.
